Windows has a built-in utility called the System File Checker or SFC that scans through the entire system to check if everything is right or not. Recently, some Windows users have reported getting corruption issues with the adcjavas.inc file. This is a Windows file and is present in all Windows 7 or later systems. Since this is a system file corruption, it is best to clear it out as soon as possible.

Windows uses the adcjavas.inc file to remember ADO constraints that are used for client-side scripting using the built-in Microsoft JScript. So if you don’t want your system’s ability to retrieve AOD constraints to be compromised, then give the mentioned fixes a try right away. So without further ado, let’s get into it.

How to fix Adcjavas.inc file Corrupted Error in Windows 10?

This particular file is present in one of the two locations mentioned below:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\msdac\

Since this is a system file corruption, the best that you can try to fix is a Windows utility that can handle file corruption. Since SFC only reveals the issue but does not solve it, you will have to try DISM.

DISM scan:

DISM or Deployment Image Servicing and Management is a scan that checks for any faults in the Windows files and then replaces any faulty files with healthy equivalents. It does so by using some Windows Update components. That is, the healthy equivalent is downloaded from the Windows server.

  • Press and hold Windows Key + R to open up the Run dialog box.
  • Enter “cmd” in the Run box and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open up the command prompt as an administrator.
  • If the User Account Control pop-up prompts you, then confirm the action.
  • Once the command prompt window shows up, enter the following commands one after the other and press Enter after every command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Cleanupimage DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

  • Once the scan is done and the repair process is also complete, restart your PC. Then using the SFC scan, check whether you get the same corruption message with the adcjavas.inc file again or not.

Most users will get their issues sorted by the DISM scan. But if you do get the corruption issue again, then try the next fix.

Reset Windows Components:

If you were unable to sort the corruption via the DISM scan, you would manually get the corrupted file replaced. For that, you will need the Windows installation media device. Using that, you will have to perform a repair installation. Once the repair installation is complete, you will have a healthy adcjavas.inc file on your system.

However, the repair process is a bit tricky and takes a fair bit of time too. So you can even go for a clean Windows install. But for that, you will have to first keep a backup of everything necessary stored in the OS installation drive. Once you have ensured that you have a backup of the essential files, you can then move ahead with the clean Windows installation.
