Earlier this year, it was revealed that Bertrand Serlet was working with other former Apple employees and other Silicon Valley veterans on a new cloud startup called UpThere. Today, it appears, that UpThere has put up a new website that shares a little more detail on the company. The company’s new website is still cryptic, but it is more than just a logo with a white backdrop on the old website.
With this new website, the company is now pushing for new hires to join the firm. The company issued a Tweet from its Twitter account @upthere announcing the move:

The company’s new job website sheds some more detail on the company:
Serlet left Apple in 2011 as the Senior Vice President of OS X Engineering. Notably, Serlet will likely be going up against his former employer’s iCloud cloud-based services. He is currently a board member at Parallels. UpThere’s “Team” page notes that Serlet is a founder:
We’re looking for creative and talented engineers, product managers, and college interns with experience in technologies like C/C++, Objective-C, Node.js, and JavaScript; platforms like iOS and Android; knowledge areas like storage, database, security, and user experience; or System Reliability and Quality Assurance. If you‘ve got other unique skills and talents, we want to hear about those too.
Additionally, former Apple employee Roger Bodamer and former Broadcom executive Alex Kushnir are listed as the other founders. Chris Bourdon, another former Apple employee, is listed as UpThere’s Vice President of Marketing. John Doerr, a Google board member, is listed as an UpThere board member.
UpThere, according to its website, is funded by Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and Elevation Partners.
